There is an open plan layout to the kitchen, meals, dining, lounge and media area around the central fireplace. The combined room size with pyramid shaped roof provides suitable space to carry the mass of the fireplace where it is a strong noticeable feature without being overpowering. Local stone in a blend of amber and light grey colours were astutely chosen to suit the selection of timber for cabinets and stone for the benchtops and floors.
Back to back hearths mean that in winter guests will be able to see and feel the glow of the fireplace from all corners of the room. The experience of sitting around the fireplace in the evenings and looking up at the stars through the glass roof will be a memorable experience.
An island bench to the kitchen ensures that even during food preparation interaction can be maintained with guests in other areas of this grande space with a visual treat to the western panorama.
